De Ghuma Ke, the theme song for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup sung by superstar Udit Narayan and Pakistani pop sensation Sami Yusuf, is now available for download on iTunes.
The song, which has dominated airwaves in India, Pakistan and other cricket-loving countries, is composed by musical geniuses A.R Rahman and Tasadduq Hussain. The lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar who has penned some of India’s most famous lyrics including the National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana". The music video is directed by the acclaimed Director/Photographer Prakash Mokashi, who has lent his cinematic artistry to many of India’s top musicians. De Ghuma Ke is produced by Plus91 Media Private Ltd, a joint venture company between Sony Music Entertainment and MTV 18. It is the official theme song for ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and will be used as a promotional song for the event. The song was launched on 14 January 2011 at New Delhi's Le Méridien Hotel.

The song was well received by critics and fans alike and has over 10 million views on YouTube as of 16 March 2011. The song was further popularized after it was used as the title track for the 13th season of "Cricket Idol" TV show aired on NDTV sports.
The song also features in the 2010 Bollywood film, "Delhi-6". The song is played during a socially significant scene where Irfan Khan's character, Tughlaq, contemplates his love for Delhi and the painful fact that he has to leave it behind due to circumstances beyond his control. The song also appears in the background in an elaborate song-and-dance sequence in the Bollywood crime thriller, "Aakrosh" (2010). The song also features in the 2010 Punjabi film, "Faraar".
An instrumental version has been released for use by media houses. It is available on Plus91 Media Private Limited's official YouTube channel.
